Over 35 years of hardcore Research and Design Development Experience in Solutions, Systems, Products, Hardware, Software & Firmware (Embedded Software) across diverse technology & application domains, and over 10 years of Advisory Experience to different segments of business & industry. He has over 350 Research & Design Mentees in the Electronics, ICT & STI Ecosystems. Currently, mentoring many Deep Tech & Disruptive Tech Startups.For the last 15 years, he has been deeply involved in standardization in the Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Trustworthiness and Digital Infrastructure domains with a focus on identifying gaps in standards to bring harmonization through System Standards to ensure end-to-end Interoperability. With focus on ubiquity & comprehensive interoperability in Digital Infrastructures, he has been pursuing applied research in last Mile Communication and 5G Communication Architectures developing some unique approaches resulting in National & Global Standards. Proactively contributing to IEC, ISO, ITU, IEEE & BIS along with various industry consortia…Kishor is leading Smart Cities Standardization in all the global SDOs – Chair IEEE P2784 WG, Vice Strategy of IEC Smart Cities Systems Committee, Project Leader of Smart Cities Reference Architecture Methodology (SCRAM) – IEC SRD 63188:2022 (published), & Smart Cities Reference Architecture (SCRA) – IEC 63205 ED1 being jointly developed with ISO TC 268.As the founding Chair of the Smart Infrastructure Sectional Committee LITD 28 in BIS (bureau of Indian Standards), responsible for developing comprehensive suite of Indian National Standards for Unified Digital Infrastructure & Smart Cities, 20 of the series of 100 Standards (IS 18000 to IS 18100) have already been published and are getting embedded into the Smart Cities deployment projects.
Isabel holds a master’s degree in architectural lighting design from KTH, Stockholm and works as a lighting designer at White Arkitekter. With over 15 years of experience, Isabel has designed the lighting for a wide range of national and international projects, including public buildings, offices, schools, museums and master plans. Isabel is a passionate lighting designer who is deeply committed to the growth and development of the industry. Isabel is co-author of the recently published report “Sustainable Lighting Design”, which has received international recognition. Isabel has been awarded with the Swedish Lighting Design Prize in 2014 and the 40 under 40 Lighting Designers Award in 2018.
Toby Cumberbatch was a professor of electrical engineering at The Cooper Union in New York City from 1994 to 2018. His principal research interests are developing engineering practices to address the needs of impoverished, marginalized communities through Engineering for the Middle of Nowhere.In 2003 he took his first group of students to a village in West Africa where he had lived as a child. From these trips and other classes emerged SociaLite Lighting Systems, a small 501c3 that manufactures and installs lighting systems and micro-grids for communities in regions without infrastructure. Dr. Cumberbatch continues to develop these systems and support SociaLite’s operations in Ghana and beyond.
Yoshihisa Ikeda received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ehime University in 2001 and 2003. He received a doctoral degree in Science and Engineering from Ehime University in 2013. He worked at Toshiba Lighting and Technology Corporation and is now an associate professor at Ehime University. He is currently engaged in research on traffic lighting.
Dr.Mrs Surekha Rajendra Deshmukh has over 22 plus years of professional experience. Her current role is Domain Consultant, Sustainability Practice, TCS, Pune.She did BE (Electrical Engineering-1996), M.E (Electrical Power Systems-2002) with gold medal and PhD (Electrical Engineering- 2012). As a meritorious candidate, she achieved first position at post graduation along with few awards and recognition for research contributions as Best Technical Paper at IE(I), DipEx 2013, Avishkar 2011-12.Dr Surekha is senior member of IEEE and Chair of IEEE Pune Section and Chair- PES India Chapters Council. She also serve as a Member of IEEE’s Climate Change Committee (CCIRCC) and chair of Sub Committee of CCIRCC–Global Visibility.Her areas of interest are Sustainability, Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, Electrical Safety, Electric Vehicles, Power Market, Power System Operation and Control, Reliability Analysis and Smart Grid.She is passionate about publishing work and has more than 35 papers till date on her record. With wide technical experience, she contributes as a reviewer of IEEE PES publications, Elsevier and Springer journals.Dr Surekha is awarded with “Outstanding Volunteer Award” of IEEE India Council-2020, Women in Power Award- 2021, IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award 2022. She is also Chapter Representative of IEEE PES R 10 West and Chair- IEEE PES India Chapter Council. She was Chair of IEEE PES-IAS Chapter of Pune Section for 2019 and 2020. Both years, during her tenure as chair PES-IAS chapter won the “BEST Chapter Award” at Pune Section. Helmut Adamski is a pioneer and leader in the IoT landscape and is currently CEO & Chairman of the IP500 Alliance. He has more than 25 years of experience in the High-Tech Industry, focused on IoT and IT network solutions, wireless chip technologies as well as safety & security applications for smart buildings / facilities. As an Executive he led, grew and sold High-Tech companies on a global scale. He served as CEO at CoreNetiX, Swissphone and Funkwerk, as well as a Managing Director of SMS GmbH and Data I/O in Seattle, USA. Before, Helmut Adamski was in various positions as an Executive at Schneider & Koch (S&K) and as Project Manager at Digital Equipment (DEC) and CERN (Research Center, Geneva). Helmut Adamski has been an active part in the IEEE group for the 802.15.4 (b) wireless technical standard. He has an Engineering Degree in Electronics and attended Executive / MBA programs at the Institute of Excellence, San Diego and Stanford University, CA.

Born in 1991. He graduated from School of Engineering Science of Osaka University in 2014. He received his PhD of Engineering from Graduate School of Engineering Science of Osaka University in 2019. He has been working for Mitsubishi Electric at Advanced Technology R&D Center. He is currently engaged in research on lighting and sensing system.
Ciji Pearl Kurian is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MIT, Manipal. She holds a B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
As a PG Project work coordinator and Class committee chairperson (M.Tech.), she guides and mentors students in their academic pursuits. Her area of interest includes Lighting controls technology & applications, solid state lighting, soft computing, control systems, and systems simulation.
With a passion for research and a keen eye for innovation, she has been actively involved in the development and implementation of cutting-edge technology in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. As a dedicated academician, she strives to impart her knowledge and expertise to students, helping them to become successful engineers and professionals.
Dr. Laurent Canale PhD, (MIEEE’12, SMIEEE’19), CNRS Research Engineer in LAPLACE Laboratory in Toulouse (France). Born in Saint-Martin d’Hères (France) in 1972, and holds a Master and PhD focusing on High Frequencies Electronics and Optoelectronics from Limoges University, France, respectively in 1998 and 2002. He published about magnetic thin films but his main PhD work was in pulsed laser deposition of lithium niobate thin films for optical telecommunications. From 2004 to 2010 he worked as Research Engineer for the National Research Institute of Agronomy in Bioemco Lab. (Paris, France). In 2010, he joined the National Center for Scientific Research and work in LAPLACE Lab., “Light & Matter” Team where his research focused on efficient light sources as LED and OLED with special interest in physics and aging mechanisms. Since 2014, he is the Regional President of the French Illuminating Engineering Society (AFE). He published over 160 papers, communications and book chapters. Since 2020, he leads two different research programs with Maghreb countries and Indonesia and also head of mission on Environmental Management and Energy Transition for Toulouse University. Since 2023, he is the Chair of the Industrial Light and Display Committee of the Industrial Application Society of IEEE (ILDC).
